Back on LiveJournal ages ago, I used to do a 40 Days of Drabbles type challenge for Lent so from Ash Wednesday to and ending the day before Easter Sunday (Which is actually 46 days, but for whatever reason people say 40 days). I figured I'd open the challenge out for anyone wants to do this - even if it's not lent or you don't celebrate lent. I personally am not really a religious person so there is no connection other than the original idea behind it.

Plus I'm opening it to year-round, so you can do a table WHENEVER you wish.

Now while the title says 40 days, I'm gonna be super lean about that "rule" - feel free to be strict about it or not, post all the drabbles at once or day by day, whatever you prefer to do. So if it's like 50+ days later and you're still trying to finish, that is completely fine!

I WANT A TABLE | How does it work?
1. Feel free to grab the table, or use your own.
2. Post the table to your journal or fic journal (or wherever you can!) - and then request your friends for prompts! If you want to post the table to this community so others can put in requests, feel free too!

3. I suggest making or linking to a post (or add it to under your table) with what you ship or what you will write incase anyone new pops in.
-> Also I suggest mentioning anything you're not willing to write (character death or kinks or whatever).
4. Post your drabbles wherever you want, just put them behind a cut if you post directly to the community.
5. See if you finish all 40 drabbles! No worries if not.

DAILY PROMPTS | How does it work?
This part was definitely inspired by adventdrabbles so credit where credit is do!
1. I will post daily prompts from Ash Wednesday to Easter, usually at night (EST) focusing on winter/spring type things, from one word prompts to potentially lyrics or sentences.
-> Feel free to use the prompts as literal or loosely as you prefer. If you just want to title your drabble with the prompt, that's perfectly fine!
-> Feel free to suggest prompts!
2. Post the drabble wherever you prefer, just link it here so we can see it!
-> If you post directly to the community, please put it behind a cut even if it's only 100 words.
3. You do not have to write for all the prompts, feel free to only write for any that call to you.
4. There are no deadlines for this, if you happen to get inspired on like Day 20 for Prompt 1, feel free to go ahead and post it. Just tag it with the correct prompt # & fandom.
5. See if you finish all 40 drabbles! No worries if not.

Rules to Posting to the Community
1. Each post should have a FANDOM tag, if I don't have it just simply leave use the tag "!needs tags" & I'll get to it ASAP. {Although good on you if you found a fandom I don't already have a tag for!}
-> If you are here doing the Daily Prompts, make sure you include the "prompt #" tag.

2. Any rating, fandoms, or pairings are acceptable here, but please TRY to use proper ratings/warnings for mature or potentially triggering stuff, but there will be no consequences if you do not.

3. Minimum word count is 100 words, but there is no actual maximum - feel turn those drabbles into ficlets or novels if you wish ;)

4. If you want to combine your prompts/drabbles with other challenges, feel free to!
